Law Enforcement Committee Mission Statement

The Law Enforcement Committee will work to ensure that Bedford has the best
services possible.

Law Enforcement Vision Statement

The Law Enforcement Committee, at the direction of the Bedford Township Board, is to initially research areas where improvements in policing services could be  realized for Bedford Township.  This will be done via research, surveying community members, studying the current Monroe County Sheriff's Office contract, and researching other policing models/contracts regionally.  Primary focus will be placed on reviewing current law enforcement staffing levels and work productivity to determine if additional work can be assigned and/or are more staff necessary.  Additionally, the committee will look at all possible cost savings measures available to maximize the policing services for the residents of Bedford while providing information to the Bedford Township Board as to cost benefit analysis of any identified measures.
