Community Development and Planning Department
The Community Development and Planning Department is responsible for several areas including processing all applications for property re-zoning, site plan approval, subdivision plat reviews, and other site development issues. In addition the department coordinates projects such as Economic Development, Master Plan Update, Zoning Ordinance development, and maintenance of the Geographic Information System for Bedford Township.
The Building and Planning Departments also assist property owners in determing FEMA Flood Plain map questions, provide copies of Elevation Certificates if they are filed with us, and advising owners of FEMA's mandatory flood insurance requirements.
