Wilburn called the Regular Meeting of the Bedford Township Board to order at 7:00 PM followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.

APPROVAL OF AGENDA – Wilburn added under New Business (9B), M.C.R.C. Chloride Contract.  Motion by Steinman, seconded by Steiner to approve the agenda as amended, motion carried.

RESOLUTIONS

RESOLUTION HONORING EAGLE SCOUT SEAN BARRON –Wilburn and Schockman presented the resolution to Sean Barron in recognition of his achievement in becoming an Eagle Scout.

RESOLUTION TO HANG BANNER FOR BEDFORD GARDEN CLUB – Motion by Schockman, seconded by Meyer  to adopt the resolution to hang banners for the Bedford Garden Club as presented, motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, Meyer, Schockman, Steiner, Steinman, Wilburn.  Nays: None.  Absent: O’Dell.  

CONSENT AGENDA – Motion by Steinman, seconded by Steiner to approve the consent agenda as published, motion carried on a roll call vote as follows: Aye: Francis, Meyer, Schockman, Steiner, Steinman, Wilburn.  Nays: None.  Absent: O’Dell.

PUBLIC COMMENTS

Mr. Barron thanked the board for recognizing his son’s accomplishment.

REPORTS FROM STAFF

BEDFORD TOWNSHIP FIRE DEPT. ANNUAL REPORT 2007 – John Bofia and Ron Whipple presented the Bedford Fire Departments 2007 Annual Report.  The both gave detailed explanations of the report including information on the Fire Departments accomplishments over the year.    

NEW BUSINESS – APPROVAL OF BILLS - Motion by Meyer, seconded by Schockman to approve the following vouchers for payment:  General Fund-$119,503.59, Fire District-$23,378.08, Police Fund-$20,971.68, Park Fund-$53,276.81, Transit System-$11,277.00, Building Inspection Fund-$126.25, Library Fund-$4,945.00, E.D.C. Fund-$638.98, Water Fund-$5,424.05, D.D.A. Fund-$139,409.81, Sewer Operation & Main. Fund-$6,686.25, Trust & Agency Fund-$4,593.80, motion carried on a roll call vote as follows:  Aye: Francis, Meyer, Schockman, Steiner, Steinman, Wilburn.  Nays: None.  Absent: O’Dell.

M.C.R.C. CHLORIDE CONTRACT – Motion by Steinman, seconded by Schockman to approve the Monroe County Road Commission contract for chloride on local roads in Bedford Township, motion carried on a roll call vote as follows:  Aye: Francis, Meyer, Schockman, Steiner, Steinman, Wilburn.  Nay: None.  Absent:  O’Dell.

ADJOURNMENT – Wilburn adjourned the meeting at 7:50 p.m.
