Bedford Township Supervisor's Office
|
| Walt Wilburn |
| Mission Statement |
| As the Township's Chief Executive Officer
and Chair of the Official Board, the Supervisor's mission is to ensure
that all the Township offices work collaboratively to serve the needs of
the citizens. |
| Responsibilities |
The Supervisor can be compared to the Chief
Executive Officer of a corporation, including the management and primary
oversight of the Township's two ordinance officers.
The supervisor is responsible for appointments to the Township
Commissions. Commissions are staffed with residents who serve regular
terms and want to make a difference in their community.
The office of the supervisor is also responsible for Emergency Management
for the Township. The supervisor works in cooperation with the Monroe
County Emergency Management Division (EMD).
In addition to these responsibilities, the supervisor serves as the
Township's Land Division Administrator. All lot splits and divisions of
land must first be reviewed and authorized by the Township Supervisor
prior to execution by the Official Board.
The Supervisor's office is open from 8:00 AM until 5:00 PM, Monday through
Friday. The Supervisor has an open door policy and wants to be available
to Bedford residents. When the Supervisor is not in the office,
Meg Smith, Deputy Supervisor, will document your concerns or a message can be left on voice
mail at 734/847-6791. |
Sincerely,
Walt Wilburn
